Debris Disposal Procedures During Emergency Situations
City of St. Cloud Public Works Department staff reminds all city residents of the procedures for proper disposal of debris in the event of emergencies or disaster situations.
“In August 2004, we learned how to orchestrate emergency cleanups,” said Solid Waste Division Superintendent Ernie McDaniel. “We did this as a municipality and as a community. Our first goal after a mandated ‘State of Emergency’ call by the governor is to clear all critical roads, then all other roads for emergency vehicles. It is extremely important to adhere to the instructions for disposal of any debris due to emergency situations, such as hurricanes or declared disaster occurrences.”
