Mission:
The City of St. Cloud Public Information Officer (PIO):
Ø Plans, coordinates, and provides professional marketing, public relations, and communications services.
Ø Serves as an official spokesperson for the City of St. Cloud.
Ø Handles media and public inquiries.
Ø Assists City departments, Mayor, and City Council in communicating the goals and activities of the city government to the internal and external public.
Ø Disseminates media advisories, press releases, and photos for publication.
Ø Publishes the monthly newsletter “Dateline”.
The PIO relies on print and broadcast outlets, including the City’s Access Channel (SCTV 199), to disseminate news from the City of St. Cloud.
Community Relations
City Hall tour and Speaker's Bureau –
City Hall tours and speakers are available upon request and free of charge. To request a City Hall tour or speaker for an event, please fill out the Special Event Request Form and submit as noted on the form. All requests need to be made in writing at least one month in advance.
All efforts are made to accommodate as many requests as possible.
