Function

 

The Environmental Utilities Department provides the following services within the City of St. Cloud and our outlying Service Area:

Todd Swingle Director     Potable Water Supply;

bulletpoint     Sanitary Sewer Collection and Treatment; and

*     Reclaim Water Supply

 

In providing these services, a staff of 70 individuals work diligently to achieve a high level of service and meet the needs of our growing community while maintaining the customer service attitude of a the small town that we call home.

Mission Statement

 

It is the Mission of the City of St. Cloud Environmental Utilities Department to:

 

*     Provide All Customers With Safe Drinking Water, In Adequate Volume and Pressure at All Times to Satisfy Domestic Uses and Fire Flow Needs;

*     Provide Sanitary Waste Collection and Treatment to Protect the Environment and Public Safety, Health, and Wellbeing;

*     Provide Cost Effective Service in a Friendly and Efficient Manner; and

*     Maintain and Expand the Utility in a Manner that Aids the City in Achieving its Broader Objectives.

 

Organization

 

Environmental Utilities' operations within the City of St. Cloud and our outlying Service Area are conducted by two primary divisions:

 

*     Line Systems Division

*     Treatment Division

 

Each of these divisions reports to the Utilities Engineer and ultimately to the Public Services Administrator.  Each Division Superintendent conducts water, wastewater, and reclaim water functions within their area of responsibility.  For more information on each of these divisions, please visit the links provided above.
