· Controls pedestrian traffic at school crossings and school area intersections.
· Records names of vehicles operators and license numbers of traffic law violators, and reports this information to a designated supervisor. |

• No previous work-related experience needed. |

• Knowledge of city and state traffic laws and enforcement practices.
• Skill in working with young people, giving instructions and securing correct behavior in traffic situations.
• Skill in teaching compliance with pedestrian safety rules and regulations.
• Ability to receive and carry out written and oral instructions.
• Ability physically to frequently (> 5.5 hours per day) walk or stand, both for extended periods of time, to run if required; to stoop, bend or carry up to 20 pounds.
• Ability physically to frequently (>5.5 hours per day) work and withstand adverse and extreme weather conditions |
